And the Cake Design Process

Initial Enquiry

 

  • Contact me with your wedding date to check availability.
  • Tell me the number of cake portions required and any design ideas so I can give you a price estimate with no obligation.

 

Making a Booking


  • A £100 deposit will secure your date in my diary (sorry, no dates secured without a deposit). I'll ask you to fill in a short order form and approve my terms & conditions.
  • Please note the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable* as I limit the number of bookings I take and turn away other business after your deposit has been received.
  • Payment of your final balance would be due 6 weeks before your wedding date.


*Date transfers due to Covid restrictions are the exception to the above - I will transfer your booking to a new date at no extra charge (subject to my availability) if your wedding plans are affected by Covid Government restrictions.


Consultation

 

  • The perfect opportunity to meet and discuss your design ideas (consultations are currently carried out via Zoom).
  • The ideal time for a consultation is 6-8 months before your wedding date.
  • No charge for initial consultations as one is all that's usually required (additional consultations charged at £20).

Cake Sample Boxes

 

  • Taster sample boxes are produced at various points throughout the year. 
  • 2 slices each of 4 of the most popular flavours.
  • Postal options available.

Cake Sketches

 

  • I will produce one or more cake sketches for you based on our discussions. It's an exciting time, as we put pencil to paper and bring your design to life!
  • We'd aim to finalise your cake design around 5-6 months before the date of your wedding.
