Caroline was great from the point of booking to the day of our wedding. We had decided on 3 tiers each with a different flavour, and when we tried the sample box it actually made us change one of the flavours to red velvet as it was so good! When it came to design I didn’t have a clear picture, I knew I wanted something with minimal detail but striking at the same time and Caroline just managed to capture exactly what we were looking for with her sketches! The cake turned out beautifully with wafer paper waves which fitted in with our seaside theme perfectly and tasted amazing too! Can’t recommend Cake Halliday highly enough ☺️

Caroline has made many stunning cakes for my family over the years and asking her to make our wedding cake was the easiest decision we had to make for our big day. So much so, we booked her before we had our venue secured!

The process was seamless and Caroline made it completely stress free for us. At our initial consultation where we chatted about our design, she took the time to really listen to us and what we were looking for in the cake. This was clear to see when she sent through various sketch options to make sure she got the detail just right for us.

Making sure the cake tasted as good as it looked was also really important to Caroline who took the time to make various icing options for our favourite flavour of cake for us to try in advance so it tasted exactly how we wanted it to.

Although we've had many cakes from Caroline over the years, we still couldn't believe how stunning the cake was when it arrived on our wedding day. So many guests commented on how beautiful it was and the precision that was used in the design. Our guests clearly loved how it tasted too as there wasn't a single piece left, despite having ordered extra just in case!

I would recommend Caroline to any couple looking for their wedding cake; she really is a master at her craft.

Caroline’s cake blew me away! I wanted to include the intricate floral appliqué detail of my veil and dress in the cake design. We knew we wanted something quite different for our wedding cake - Something still clean and classy but a simple white cake is not our style. I found Cake Halliday highly recommended on a bridal Facebook page and decided to send a wee message to see if the owner could help us create something bold but still beautiful.

From that first step Caroline has been so professional and helpful. You can really see how much she cares and, more importantly in my book, how much passion she has for what she does. We picked up a sample box and loved the cakes we tasted, they were all delicious! My husband and I chose our flavours and got back in touch with Caroline who then began helping us with the design of our cake, starting with a zoom meeting which I really appreciated as I think it helped us get on the same page. Very soon after the meeting, we received 3 potential cake sketches choose from. They were all gorgeous and Caroline had obviously listened to exactly what we wanted - The hard part was choosing our favourite!

After we chose our cake design, Caroline kept in touch and let me know exactly what would happen on the day IE - delivery of the cake etc. When I saw the cake on the day I was delighted - It was exactly what was promised. Unique, in theme with our day, striking - All of the above! And it tasted absolutely amazing, We had so many comments from our guests at how much they enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved working with Caroline and would recommend this lady to anyone who is getting married and wants a showstopping cake.

Caroline has been an absolute pleasure to work with from the day we enquired about her cakes right through to seeing our cake on our special day. Not only did our guests comment on the appearance of our cake but the taste was also amazing with each tier being a different flavour. Caroline didn’t have an easy job with one tier being gluten free and another tier a flavour she had not attempted before but she absolutely nailed it all. On top of this, the communication from Caroline throughout was so reassuring as she always kept us informed about how things were going and this was right through to the delivery of our dream cake. The cake we got from Caroline was excellent. We had asked her for something a bit different and not the traditional wedding cake and she produced a cake exactly to our colours and ideas. The cake toppers were again different, matching a family picture we have and it was matched perfectly to the smallest details – down to the colour of the jewellery, how hair would be worn, the tartan of the kilt and the length of the grooms beard! Many of our guests commented on how amazing the cake was and were taking pictures with the cake. The flavour of the cake was also excellent, our guests changed from saying what a shame to cut the cake to how it was worth it for the taste! Caroline has made several cakes for us: the amazing Mad Hatter’s cake, a trio of edible books for a special birthday (3 different flavours on each tier), a gorgeous rainbow dancing cake for my daughter’s birthday and a snooker themed cake for my brother’s birthday. It’s such a shame to cut into the cakes – they look too good to eat but eat you must do – and they all taste delicious. Absolutely delighted with my daughter’s 7th birthday cake.
